Imagine walking into a patient’s room, expecting routine care, but finding a reality far worse than what’s written on paper. Diabetes was just a word to me—until I saw its disabling, deadly impact on nearly 1 in 10 people in the U.S. This firsthand experience inspired my transition from a career as a pediatric surgeon to a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®️).
Jenkins Public Health Consulting®️ was established in 2018 to support health organizaitons and businesses with an intentional focus on preventing the suffering caused by preventable chronic diseases and injuries among children, youth, and adults.
At JPHC®️, we empower health organizations to build sustainable programs using our proprietary
5-Step Community IMPACT Framework, which addresses health inequities and disparities while improving health literacy, access to resources, and rebuilding trust to create lasting change in communities and prevent conditions like diabetes.
We are also dedicated to sustaining the workforce by offering an accelerator, The Public Health Mentor Program, and internships to health professionals who want to land high-quality, high-paying jobs in the industry."
